Local guidance

Park guidance Park rules: a free day-use permit for each climbing zone, no white chalk (use rock-colored chalk), no new bolts, and the cliffs north of UT-24 are closed. The park warns its Wingate flakes unpredictably; let it dry fully after rain. NPS: Climbing and bouldering ↗

Check the rock yourself

Rain gauges measure rain, not rock moisture. Sandstone is weak when wet and holds water long after the surface looks dry, especially on shaded or seepy faces. If the ground is damp, the rock is too.

Is it actually dry?
